CST Canada Coal Limited (CST Coal) is pleased to announce that the sale of Grande Cache Coal’s Assets to CST Coal has been completed. CST Coal is now the owner and permit holder of the previous Grande Cache Coal mine property and will proceed with mining of the No. 8 Mine Surface Operation in July 2018 with the first coal shipment scheduled for September 2018. CST Coal continues to hire employees and build a workforce of over 100 people. Please see www.cstcoal.ca for updates and employment opportunities.

AN UPDATE FROM CST CANADA COAL LIMITED
CST Canada Coal Limited (CST Coal) is pleased to announce that the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) has approved the transfer of all licenses, permits, approvals and dispositions from Grande Cache Coal Corporation and Grande Cache Coal Limited Partnership (collectively, GCC) to CST Coal. CST Coal is now the permit holder of the former GCC mine property. Further, CST Coal has been given authorization from the AER to resume operations at the No. 8 Mine Surface Operation and Coal Processing Plant. CST Coal currently has a workforce of over 90 employees that will commence mining in the surface pit imminently with coal processing operations to follow in the coming weeks.

www.cstcoal.ca. We anticipate that the new website will be operational by the end of July.

BACKGROUND
The Sales and Investment Solicitation Process related to the Grande Cache Coal (GCC) assets, managed by Deloitte Restructuring Inc. (the Receiver) in its capacity as Court appointed receiver and manager, has been completed. The Court approved the sale of GCC’s assets to SonicField Global Limited (SonicField) on January 8, 2018 with a view to closing a transaction by the end of May 2018. SonicField has established a new company, CST Canada Coal Limited (CST Coal) to move forward with mining of the GCC property, starting with the No. 8 Mine surface operation.
UPDATE
CST Coal has applied to the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) to transfer all permits, licences, approvals, dispositions, and existing applications currently held by GCC to CST Coal. GCC’s application to the AER to lift the licence suspension for the No. 8 Mine and the Coal Processing Plant, is under AER review. CST Coal and GCC management continue to work diligently and collaboratively on mine restart planning and preparation activities in advance of the estimated closing date.

BACKGROUND

UPDATE
The CST Group Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) was held on March 28, 2018, during which the shareholders voted in favour of the Acquisition of GCC's assets.
In terms of the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) applications, GCC received approval related to the Bulk Sampling Permit and will obtain samples for potential customers' quality testing in the coming weeks. GCC previously submitted an application to the AER to lift the licence suspension for the No. 8 Mine and the Coal Processing Plant, which is under AER review. Further, the application to transfer AER licences currently held by GCC to CST has been filed.
CST Coal and GCC management are working diligently and collaboratively on mine restart planning activities in advance of the estimated closing date. Recruitment of staff in Grande Cache and Calgary commenced in February 2018, and continues with several new hires in March 2018.
